She Lost Something. (TWO Somethings)

I think the best part of being a mom, is watching your kids go through things that were a big deal to you when you were a kid.

I lost two of my teeth at the same time, and Halle did the same. Boy was I proud.

Love it!

A Quick Recap....

Here is a quick recap of last year, before I start blogging about what we've been up to lately. We went to Sun River in Oregon and got to see all of my Mom's great family! We had a blast, and the kids got to know the Wilson's:)

Second Cousins??

Halle and her cousin Claire had their dance recital.... adorable.

Sawyer got a big boy bed.... cowboy style of course.

And the highlight of Winter, was going to the Happiest place on Earth!!

Halle loved Mickey.

Sawyer loved the chicken legs.

Sea World was our favorite part of the trip.

I think we wore them out.

We decided to get away from the rain and cold a couple of weeks ago so we headed down to one of my favorite places..... St. George.  It was a short trip of swimming, golf and LDS General Conference.  We had a great time and great weather, more importantly we had great food; Sawyer was in love with the fried chicken at Chuckarama and Pops continued his love affair with Toms Deli!  The golf courses were beautiful as was the scenery.  There just isnt a better place to get away from the cold wet spring weather than St. George!

Sawyer taking a swimming break

Cousins playing in the sand at the Thomas Condo... we had a great bbq there!

More Spring Activities!

Nana had her annual Easter egg hunt over at her and pops' house it was good times and the kids love it!  We got there and turned the kids loose in the backyard for the hunt.
Halles Stash

After the hunt the kids colored some eggs which is always an adventure!

Abe and Halle going at it.

Sawyer and his green egg

It was a fun Saturday.....BYU basketball is over, football hasnt started yet, the Jazz didnt make the playoffs, and its still too cold to golf, the girls are loving life!!!

I think it is causing Luke to go a little stir crazy (I can see it in his eyes)
see what i mean.....

To switch subjects a little bit, Halle had her ears worked on again......she is a real trooper she just goes with it and although she's scared at times she looks forward to the popsicles and ice cream when its all said and done.  It's a little bit exciting because she can now hear her teacher at school!  Hallelujah! I think her teacher was getting a little nervous knowing that she might have to talk into a microphone in her class.....haha oh well, we just hope that Halles ears get better and stay better!  We are lucky though it could be worse!

just about to go to sleep (surgery)

she wasnt too excited about her hat...

One more note for the spring so far.  When we got home from St. George Sawyer must have thought his skin was really dry because he loved the Vaseline.

We were wondering why it was so quiet in his room!

Well until next's to wishing you have a good spring.  Just remember- April Showers bring May flowers.  ok ok that was lame.

Recipe For A Happy Marriage

I've been so blessed to find someone who puts up with my faults and imperfections, loves me unconditionally and makes me laugh. I don't know where I came across this recipe, but I definitely need to sharpen my "cooking" skills! I thought this would be fun to share on Valentines. Love you babe!

Recipe For A Happy Marriage

1 cup consideration
1 cup courtesy
2 cups flattery carefully concealed
1 gallon faith and trust in each other
2 cupfuls of praise
1 small pinch of in-laws
1 reasonable budget, a generous dash of cooperation
3 tsp pure extract of "I'm sorry"
1 cup contentment
1 cup confidence
1 large or several small hobbies
1 cup blindness to others faults

Flavor with frequent portions of recreation and a dash of happy memories. Stir well and remove any specks of jealousy, temper or criticism. Sweeten well with generous portions of love and keep warm with a steady flame of romance! Never serve with a cold shoulder. Enjoy!

"An ideal marriage is a true partnership between two imperfect people, each striving to compliment the other, to keep the commandments and to do the will of the Lord."
Russell M. Nelson

...and driving the tractor at the cabin.

Camping at Palisades National Park with the Sunday's.

hanging out with Ryan.

Learning to ride her bike!

Easter came and went....

The much anticipated trip to Lake Powell...

Two Rodeos...

The first day of school.....

Football- not just any football, BYU football.....

Well, that's what the Salmon's have been up to for the past 7 months or so.... don't worry- more to come!!
